Hey there!
We’re Knechtel 3D Prints, a small, slightly chaotic, and completely passionate family-run workshop tucked somewhere between creativity and caffeine.
What started as a school science project turned into a full-blown love affair with technology, tinkering, and the endless “what if we could make this?” moments that never seem to stop.
How It All Began
We built our first printer from scratch, with a humble Ender 3 that we upgraded, repaired, and modified until it probably had an identity crisis. From there, we dove headfirst into learning everything we could: the machines, tools, modeling, materials, design tweaks, slicing settings, and all the glorious trial-and-error that comes with it. Somewhere between filament tangles and firmware updates, a business quietly took shape.
What Keeps Us Going
We didn’t plan for this to happen. It just grew out of curiosity, a need to fuel the filament habit, and a healthy dose of encouragement from family.
What keeps us going now? The spark of a new idea, the challenge of solving a tricky problem, and the joy of hearing from customers who love what we make. That connection means everything to us.
Who We Are
When you reach out, you get us - not a help desk, not a chatbot. Real humans who print, pack, and happy-dance with every order. (sometimes with more elbows)
We love custom projects, weird ideas, and anything that makes you say, “Wait, you can print that?” Every item that leaves our hands carries good intentions, good karma, and a wish for a happy little adventure wherever it ends up.
Our Creative Chaos
Our workspace is pure organized chaos. We know where everything is, even if no one else would.
The kids hunt down trends and pitch new ideas. The husband builds wood projects and asks for holders and gadgets that somehow spark new designs.
The dogs aren’t allowed in the studio (mostly because they think every moving print head is their new best friend) but you’ll often find one of them claiming a lap while we design, slice, or answer emails. They’re big, opinionated, and very unimpressed by our deadlines.
What We Believe
We’re still learning, growing, and making mistakes worth laughing about. That’s part of the fun.
We believe creativity isn’t about perfection; it’s about curiosity, persistence, and a little bit of stubborn joy.
